Overview

Howdy! Bruce here - Chief of Staff at String. If you’re a killer salesperson who moves fast, is AI-native, and wants to build something great from the ground up, I want you to join our team.

At String, we’re building the complete layer for companies to collect, structure, and receive web data. We’ve hit 7-figure ARR, doubling this year by selling to everyone, from individual devs I meet on X to some of the most powerful financial institutions on the planet ($1T+ AUM). We’ve done it all with a lean team of < 10, with only one initial funding round.

In July, we launched our Web Access API, which allows companies to fetch, search, crawl, map, and browse nearly any site on the internet.

In <2 months from launch, that product reached six figures ARR. We have a ~95%+ conversion rate from trial → purchase, and a ~95% retention rate.

I want to get it in front of more people and companies. I want you to help us do it.

This role will own our sales cycle E2E with a specific focus on developing our outbound sales motion. I think of this job as having three responsibilities:

  1. Strategize: Segment prospects and develop outreach strategies for each group.
  2. Experiment: Implement those strategies, measure their success, and adjust! We have reached six-figure ARR with this product through a mix of different strategies (investment in AEO / SEO, LinkedIn content, warm intros, cold outbound, attending conferences / events) and we want to try a variety of different approaches and double down on the ones that work
  3. Sell: Right now, Rohit and I often own initial conversations with customers. As we’re scaling, this is becoming less feasible. You will become an expert on our products and offerings, join sales calls, and close customers.

You are AI-native, technical, hungry, and have developed an outbound strategy at an early-stage startup before and can speak to measurable success that you’ve achieved. This is not your first sales role (unless you can TRULY prove to me that you’re a 1 in 100,000 candidate in some other way) and you want to run through walls to get us customers and make them successful.

What we do

Today, any business that wants to collect web data has to jump through tons of hoops:

  1. Build infrastructure to send thousands of requests to websites
